Civicon is currently supporting the TTC Warden Station Revitalization, a major redevelopment of one of Line 2’s key transit hubs at Warden Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East.

The project is transforming the existing station into a modern, fully accessible transit facility, improving connections between the subway, bus terminal and passenger pick-up/drop-off areas. The redevelopment includes new elevators, a new accessible bus terminal and concourse, reconfigured bus bays, improved passenger circulation and significant architectural and public-realm improvements. The station is being maintained in operation throughout the phased redevelopment. Strasman Arch

Civicon’s Scope

Civicon is currently performing the wet utilities, formwork and exterior concrete flatwork associated with the redevelopment.

Our involvement combines several of Civicon’s core self-perform capabilities on a complex, operational transit project. Working within an active TTC environment requires careful planning and coordination with the wider project team to manage construction sequencing, existing infrastructure, public interfaces and the ongoing operation of the station.

Through our integrated civil and concrete capabilities, Civicon is helping deliver the infrastructure required to support the new accessible station while maintaining our focus on safety, quality workmanship and collaborative project delivery.

The redevelopment is scheduled for completion in 2027, with the TTC reporting that two new elevators are already in service and construction continuing on the new permanent accessible bus terminal.
