Civicon contributed to the City of Toronto’s culvert infrastructure works at Prudential Drive and Chestermere Avenue, supporting the rehabilitation and improvement of critical municipal drainage infrastructure.
The project involved work on existing culvert structures, including precast concrete components and associated waterproofing, to support the long-term performance and reliability of the City’s drainage network.
Civicon’s Scope
Civicon performed the excavation and temporary water bypass works, providing essential civil construction services to facilitate the culvert works.
The temporary bypass system was an important component of the construction methodology, enabling water flows to be managed while work proceeded on the existing drainage infrastructure.
Working within an established urban environment required careful planning, coordination and management of excavation activities, water flows and construction interfaces.
Civicon’s team delivered its scope with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship and collaboration, supporting the successful execution of this important municipal infrastructure project.
